The impressive milestone was marked at the Pets Foundation Ball this week which raised over £160k to help more pets in need
Funds will support rescue and rehoming organisations, adding to the £42million already donated since the Foundation’s launch in 2006
The Pets Foundation – Pets at Home’s corporate foundation - is celebrating 20 years of helping pets and the people who love them, marking two decades of support for pet rescue and rehoming organisations, community groups and charities across the UK.
Since its launch, the Foundation has become the UK's largest corporate supporter of rescue and rehoming organisations, helping to transform the lives of millions of pets and families through funding, partnerships and practical support.
Earlier this week, worked continued to raise more vital funds at the Pets Foundation Ball, which celebrated the impact of the power of partnership bringing together suppliers and partners from the Pets at Home Group to help more pets in need. On the evening over £160k was raised, with funds going directly to more pet charities to continue their important work.
In total over the past 20 years, the Pets Foundation has awarded more than £42 million to support pets and the people who love them. Through long-standing partnerships with charities and community organisations, each year it now helps around 150,000 pets and people and provides assistance to over 400 charities. It has also supported the rehoming of more than one million small pets through in-store adoption centres in Pets at Home petcare centres.
In addition to its fundraising support, the Foundation has provided more than 10,000 pallets of donated stock to organisations supporting pets in need and, through its food bank partnerships, has helped provide more than five million meals to pets whose families are facing financial hardship.
